CRAWFORD, ALVIN GUY - The death of Alvin Guy Crawford loving husband of Jane (Sonier) Crawford occurred on Wednesday April 29, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born 1944 in Saint John he was the son of the late Belmore and Ethel (Steen) Crawford. Alvin worked at The Sugar Refinery for many years as well as a Foreman at Red Rose Tea. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Kathleen Crawford (fiancée Frank Kays) of Moncton and Christina MacDonald (Jay) of Saint John; one brother Allan (Elizabeth) Crawford of Shediac; one sister Marcia (Barry) Burton of Riverview; five grandchildren Christopher, Alecia, Derek, Jordan and Emily. Alvin was predeceased by his parents a son Baby Jonathan and sister Daisy in infancy; as well as his sisters Myrtle Reardon. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) where visitations will be held on Friday May 1, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
