GALBRAITH, ERNEST EMERY (BILL) - Passed away suddenly, in his 81st year, on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at his residence. Born on August 22, 1928 in Lorneville, NB he was the son of the late Clarence and Jessie (Wilson) Galbraith. Loving husband of Alice (Fair) Galbraith. Bill loved sports and enjoyed ball and hockey all of his life. He enjoyed his Florida home 6 months out of the year and also his family cottage in Sand Point. He was a long time employee of Labatt's Brewery, retiring after 28 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Arthur "Barry" and John (Barb); five daughters, Marilyn (Gerry) Dupré, Mary Lou (Bob) McKay, Barbara (Roly) Trainor; Kathy Basque (Dan) and Jennifer Forester (Steve); sister, Shirley Taylor; seven grandchildren Stephanie, Tiffany, Erin, Christopher, Matthew, Dennis and Brandon and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West visitation will take place on Saturday, May 02, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Lorneville Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Bill, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
