STEVENSON, ROBERT A.M. - The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 of Bob Stevenson, a veteran of the Second World War, of Stratford and formerly of New Glasgow, age 88. He was the beloved husband of Lois (nee MacDonald); father of Karen Stevenson (Gordon Miller) and Wayne (Jeanette); grandfather of Julie and Keith (Martina) Stevenson and David Miller and great-grandfather of MacKenzie Stevenson. Bob is also survived by his sister, Margaret Sellar; brother-in-law, Harold MacDonald; sister-in-law, Jean MacDonald; and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, P.E.I. for visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2009, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #13 will be holding a service of remembrance in the funeral home on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at New Glasgow Christian Church, New Glasgow on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in New Glasgow Cemetery.
