DONOVAN, MURRAY DONALD - The death of Murray Donald Donovan, of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing occurred on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at his residence. Born 1921 in Anagance he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Ella Susan (Nickerson) Donovan. Murray was a Veteran of WWII from 1941-1945. Murray had worked for Canada Post in various positions for 37 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Air Force Association of Canada, RCAF Association, Saint John Flying Club and Canadian Air Search and Rescue Association. He is survived by his brother William Donovan of Saint John; sisters L. Eileen Donovan of Saint John and Ruth Evelyn Rugulies of Edmonton, AB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers John Raymond and Gerald Donovan. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday May 14, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday May 15, 2009 at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
