WHEATON, ROBERT FRANCIS - Surrounded by his loving family, the passing of Francis Wheaton, husband of Barbara (McKinley) Wheaton occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, May 15, 2009. He was born at Saint John on June 30, 1937 to the late Percy and Audrey (Northrup) Wheaton-Szocs. Francis worked with the Department of Justice as a correctional officer. He was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. Besides his wife of 47 years Barbara, Francis is survived by a son, Kevin (Teresa) of Saint John; three daughters: Kimberly Dickison (Edwin) of Hampton, Marta Graham of Saint John and Robin Wheaton (Gary Profitt) of Acamac; two brothers: Eugene (Linda) and Kenneth (Annette) both of Saint John; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law, Rev. Gordon Graham and grandson, Caleb Graham. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). At Francis' request there will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:30 am. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
