ROBERT "BOB" DOUGLAS LINTON

LINTON, ROBERT "BOB" DOUGLAS - 77 of Lower Sackville passed away May 22, 2009 at the VG Site QEII. Born in Saint John, NB he was a son of the late John and Vera Linton. Robert was a member of the Sackville Legion, Calais Branch 162. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23 years and later worked as a Commissionaire for 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking, and darts. He was a loving husband to his wife of 57 years, Irene (Briggs) Linton. Also surviving are daughters, Susan (Lyman) Brown, Sackville; Bev Memory, Saint John, NB; Christine (Robert) Walls, Annapolis Royal; sons, Douglas, Ottawa, Ont.; Tony (Sharon) Toronto, Ont.; sisters, Mildred Nash, Oromocto, NB; Eleanor Goss, Saint John, NB; brothers, Graham (Carol), Charlottetown, PEI; Bill (Sharon), Saint John, NB; Wayne (Morna), Winnipeg, Man.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased his sister, Vera Burnett; son, Stephan; daughter, Nancy; son-in-law, Daryl Memory and granddaughter, Cassandra. Visitation will be held Monday, May 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26 at 2 pm at the Sackville Legion. Private family burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Sackville Legion.
