MARSHALL PETER HILL

HILL, MARSHALL PETER - At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on May 23rd, 2009, Mr. Marshall Peter Hill. Born at Blacks Harbour on June 27, 1912, he was a son of the late John and Effie (Wickerson) Hill. A loving brother, he is survived by one sister, May Alice Tait of Merrit Isle FL. In addition to his parents, John and Effie, he was predeceased by two brothers; Joseph and John (Jack) and by three sisters; Cecilia Wickerson, Julia Ferris and Margaret Gerarda. Prior to his retirement Marshall worked for Connors Brothers at Blacks Harbour as a carpenter for many years. He was a private and tangible person who was always around town and held a wealth of knowledge. Marshall was a veteran of World War II serving with the Corps of Engineers 10th Battalion, seeing service in England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. He was a member of the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour NB. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Tuesday at 11:00 am followed by interment at the church cemetery. In Marshall's memory donations to the Alzheimer's Society, The Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
