CLARENCE F. (POP) NICOLLE

NICOLLE, CLARENCE F. (POP) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence F. Nicolle of Quispamsis on Sunday May 24, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB on August 4, 1940 he was the son of the late Clarence Hansen and Pearl (Moore) Hansen, Nicolle, Crowe. Clarence worked as a longshoreman with the ILA 273 for 34 years. He also worked as a carpenter and woodsmen. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the Shepody Road and St. Martins. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Odette Nicolle and sons, James (Jackie), Bruce (Susan), Russell (Jackie), Daniel (Brenda) Stanley (Jennie) and daughter Darlene (Carl) LaViolette; grandchildren Matthew, Allison, Sean, Ryan, Brittany, Rebecca, Katelyn, Nicolas, Vanessa and Tarra; brother Kenneth Nicolle of Vancouver; sisters Erina Hudson and Betty Ann Doucette and special buddy Jake, many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Roy Nicolle; sisters Hazel Bernier, Colleen Clark and Marlene Arsenault. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday May 28, 2009 from 10 am to 12:45 pm, the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Fundy Funeral Home.
