MCMAHON, KAREN (NEE SOOLEY) - 1955 - 2009 - Passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, May 25th, 2009 at age 54 years. Wife of Kevin McMahon of Moncton. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of John and Shirley (Cronk) Sooley of Pointe-du-Chene. Karen was employed with Transport Canada, Moncton for 27 years. She was also an avid NASCAR fan; Bobby Labonte was her favorite driver. A member of the Maplewood Golf Club, a former member of Country Meadows Golf Club. Besides her parents, husband Kevin, she is survived by her step-daughter; Deborah Lynne Worden (Bruce) of Salisbury, sisters; Lois Ann Melanson (Marc), Heather LeBlanc (Michael) and her brother; David Sooley (Barb) all of Moncton and by her nieces and nephews; Marc, Melanie, Christine, Justin, Melissa, Grace and Isaac. Karen is also survived by two grand nieces; Paige and Brooke Lynn. By Karen's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A celebration of Karen's life will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at 2h00pm, with burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moncton Fire Fighter's Burn Unit or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, Neuro Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
