MCALLISTER, SHIRLEY MAY - The death of Shirley May McAllister of Lorneville, NB, wife of the late Wendell McAllister, occurred on Friday, May 29th, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on June 11th, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Tiner) Crawford. Shirley was a professional homemaker who loved to cook for family and friends and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and generosity in life. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Vincent) Edgett of Lorneville; one grandson William "Bill" (Dennica) Edgett; two brothers, Paul (Betty) Crawford and Barry (Norma) Crawford, both of Chance Harbour; a great-granddaughter, Madison; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wendell (February 2009), a brother, Harold Crawford and a sister, Marion Bright. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Monday, June 1st, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Lorneville Cemetery.
