Welsh, Mildred Eva (Clark) – 75, Truro, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 10, 2009. Born in Grosse-Ile, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Dolly (Keating) Clark. She loved reading, gardening, knitting and quilting, as well as being with family and friends. Mildred is survived by daughters, Phyllis (Stephen) Marriott, Truro; Thelma (Eric) Newell, Truro; Shirley (Dave) Russell, Milton, Ontario; son, Darrell (Margie), Upper Stewiacke; sisters, Bessie Chenell and Jen Turnbull, both of Isle de Madeline, Quebec; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wardie Edwin Welsh; sons, Ronald Aubrey Welsh and Edwin Blaine Welsh; daughter, Elaine Sharon MacCallum; brothers, Gerald, John and Stanford; sisters, Myrtle and Tress. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 13th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro; Rev. Gary Yetman officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
