MCALLISTER, EVELYN GRACE - The death of Evelyn Grace McAllister, wife of the late Robert Gordon McAllister occurred on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at the Kennebec Manor. Born 1916, she was the daughter of the late James Herbert and Ellen Gertrude (Miller) Hughes. Evelyn worked as the Publisher's Secretary at The Telegraph Journal and Evening Times Globe for 20 years. She was an avid gardener and quilter and was a member of Summerville United Church. She is survived by one son James McAllister (Michelle) of Saint John; three grandchildren Elizabeth, Grace and Robert; one niece and two nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers Edward M. Hughes and Walter H. Hughes. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Friday June 12, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
