JEAN M. BONNENFANT

BONNENFANT, JEAN M. - Jean Mae Bonnenfant of Rothesay, wife of the late Robert Joseph Bonnenfant, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a period of failing health. Born at Weymouth, Nova Scotia on September 28, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Ethel (Weir) Williams. Jean was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay. She enjoyed camping, having camped for more than 20 years at Ocean View Camping on the Passamaquoddy Bay. She also enjoyed the company of her canine friend, Skeeter. Jean is survived by two sons, Allan Bonnenfant (Heather) of Rothesay, and Gordon Bonnenfant of Saint John; grandchildren David Bonnenfant of Petawawa, Ontario, and Donna Bonnenfant of Kingston, Ontario; great grandchildren Jordan and Eric; a brother, Chester Williams of Plymton, Nova Scotia; a sister, Leita Levine (Jerry) of Kelona, British Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a son, Robert Loy Bonnenfant in 2005, her twin brother at birth; and a brother, Austin Williams. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
