BURHOE, CATHERINE F. (DRISCOLL) - 1913 to 2009. Catherine F. Burhoe, 95, of West Saint John, widow of Frank L. Burhoe, passed away peacefully at the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home on June 16, 2009. Born September 22, 1913 in West Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. Driscoll, and Mary S. (O'Neil) Driscoll. Catherine was a life long member of Our Lady of Assumption Church and she also ran the bingo for the parish for a period of time in the 70's. Catherine worked at Donovan's Store prior to her marriage, then was a devoted wife. Catherine, known also as Kay, enjoyed playing cards, bingo and loved spending time with her family. Survived by Nephews Peter (Linda) Walsh, Danny (Holly) Walsh, Patrick Walsh, and Paul Walsh; Nieces Mary (Gordon) Hovey, Betty Lou (Michael) Brown, Theresa (Donnie) Brewer, and Helen (Eddie Kane) Walsh; Sisters-in-law Emily (Burhoe) Walsh, Evelyn (Burhoe) Walsh, also many other nieces, nephews and great-nephews and nieces. Predeceased by husband Frank, sisters Mary B. Driscoll, Margaret Walsh, brothers Louis, Billy and James Driscoll, nephews Frankie Walsh, Harry Walsh, and Thomas Walsh, niece Margaret Weaver. The family wants to send a very special thank you to the staff of the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home, for their exceptional kindness to Kay, and her family members. Resting at Castle Funeral Home on Lancaster Ave. June 19, 2-4 & 7-9. Burial will be celebrated June 20 at 10 am at Our Lady of Assumption, burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
