CHARLES WILLIAM "CHARLIE" BRANSCOMBE

BRANSCOMBE, CHARLES WILLIAM "CHARLIE" - The death of Charlie Branscombe, 72, of Hampton, husband of Beverly (Aucoin) Branscombe, occurred June 22nd, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Hampton, son of the late Wesley and Daisy Branscombe. Charlie worked at McAvity's for thirty years. He then opened his own business twenty years ago "Branscombe's Foundry" which was recognized for a business award. Charlie loved all horses and raised work horses to miniature horses. He enjoyed giving sleigh rides and organized and participated in many parades including the "Cavalcade of Horses" in Hampton. He was a former member of the Town of Hampton Parks committee. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Beverly; four children Debbie Bettle (Steve Donovan), Saint John, Richard "Rickie" Branscombe (Tina), Cochrane, AB, Teri Murphy, Red Deer, AB, Valerie Hallett (Wayne), Saint John; nine grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, Stephen, Robert, Karen, Brandon, Luke, Megan and Chelsey; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Smith (Jackie), Titusville; two brothers, Walter Branscombe (Erna), Fredericton, Lloyd Branscombe, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Marion Ritchie. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street Hampton with visitation 4 to 8pm Wednesday. The funeral will be held Thursday, 2:00pm, at Hampton Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Gray officiating. Interment in Hampton Rural Cemetery. Memorials to NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. www.reidsfh.com
