AYLES, MARJORIE CHRISTINA - The death of Marjorie Christina Ayles, wife of the late Arnold Ayles occurred on Thursday June 25, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born 1922 in Bagdad, NB she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Moore) Damgard. In her earlier years she was a teacher and later worked for Revenue Canada before she and Arnold started their family. She enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid bingo player. Marjorie was a member of the ladies auxiliary R.C.L. Branch #64. She is survived by her children Linda Thomas (Allen) of Charlottetown, PEI; Bill Ayles (Kim) of Quispamsis, Bonny Holden (Fred) of Chipman and Paul Ayles of Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren, Janet O'Toole (Frank), Geoff Thomas (Monica), Brian Thomas (Anna), David Thomas, Heather Ayles and Jonathan Ayles; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Marjorie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Georgina, Nanny and Hazel and brother Eric. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday June 27, 2009 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday June 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. Private family interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
