DRUMMOND, HAZEL LOUISE - 1913 - 2009 - The death of Hazel Louise (Turnbull) Drummond, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late John W. Drummond, occurred on June 29, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Daughter of the late George and Louise (Bellingham) Turnbull, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. For many years the Drummonds enjoyed summers at their home in Hampstead. They also enjoyed trips to Bangor and Newfoundland. Mrs. Drummond was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. She served as a Deacon, was a Dominion Life Member of the Missionary Society and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and was involved in other areas of church life. In later years she attended St. Mark's United Church with her daughter. Surviving are her daughter Ruth E. Hansord; special niece Judi (Walker) Gregg; nieces, Marie (Turnbull) and her husband, Peter Williams, Ontario; Marguerite Belyea and sons Neal, Barry and Lowell; nephews, Donald Golding, George (Sally) Turnbull, Ontario; and special friend Lyma (Burgess) Cooper. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, July 03, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 04, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home.
