DOWD, CHRISTINE M. - Christine Marie Dowd of Saint John passed away on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born at Saint John on May 30th, 1958, she was a daughter of William (Bill) and Joan (Stilwell) Dowd. In addition to her parents, Christine is survived by two sons, Michael and Robbie Poirier, and a daughter, Michelle Gass (Donnie), all of the Saint John area; her grandmother, Doris Stilwell of Saint John; two brothers, Patrick Dowd of Saint John and Howard Dowd (Laura) of London, Ontario; a sister, Lynn Dowd of Saint John; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Monday at 2:30 PM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John.
