THOMAS, EDWARD MICHAEL "ED" - 1949 - 2009 - At the Upper River Valley Hospital on Saturday, July 4, 2009 Edward Michael Thomas "Ed" of Centreville passed away at the age of 59. Born in Bath, November 13, 1949 he was the son of Adele and the late Leslie Thomas. Ed will be remembered by his many friends for his love of hunting, fishing, picking fiddle heads, gardening, specifically his cucumber patch, and new this year his upside down tomato plants. He also loved tractor pulling and telling stories of his travels. Ed will be fondly remembered by his nieces, for all the ear pulls and nuggies. Ed is survived by his pride and joy, his daughter, Heidi Thomas (Michael); grandson, Connor; mother, Adele Thomas; one brother, Everett (Julie); four sisters, Dale Glenn (David), Darcy Davenport (Greg), Dawn Kirkbride (Art) and Beth Martin (Fred); four nieces, Shannon, Sayward, Sara and Mallory; two great nieces, Calley and Shelby. He was predeceased by his father, Leslie. Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 3:30 - 5:30 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the funeral chapel. Pastor Jason McCormick officiating.
