EDGAR J. BOURQUE
BOURQUE, EDGAR J. - Edgar J. Bourque, 85, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Born in Notre Dame, he was the son of the late Amedee and Rose (LeBlanc) Bourque. Edgar was retired from the New Brunswick Liquor Commission with 28 years service. He attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church and was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the Canadian Army. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, reading, watching all sports on television, playing cards (especially Crib and 45's), but first and foremost was spending quality time with his family. Edgar will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Veronica (Coyne) Bourque; sons, Patrick (Catherine), Fredericton, Kevin (Carolyn), Bruno, SK; grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Jennifer, Sarah, Emily, Tessa, Garrett, Michelle; sisters, Corinne Bourque, Laura Vautour, Julia Bourque, all of Moncton; Helen Dever, Grande Digue; brother, Gerald (Leontine), Notre Dame; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Thomas, Leo, Leonard, Adolphe. No visitation by personal request. Funeral Mass, St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Friday, July 10, 2009, 2:00 pm, Rev. Patrick Coyne officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
