BROWNELL, WALDA LILLIAN (JANES) - Passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, peacefully. She was the daughter of the late Waldo Corbett Janes and Lillian Clark (Quartley) and step-father, Cecil Clark. Walda was employed by Sobey's from 1975 until her retirement in 2004. She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Barbara) and Carl; six grandchildren, Amber, Michaela, Dustin, Duska, Kailey and David. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Donna May, Joyce Ion and Phyllis Anne. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Following the service there will be a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Donations, in memory of Walda, may be made to the SPCA or the Children's Wish Foundation.
