MERCER, GRACE - Mrs. Grace Mercer, of Primrose Cottage passed away on July 20, 2009 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Catherine Monahan and the wife of the late Kenneth Mercer. Grace is survived by five daughters: Nancy Murray (John), Cathy Alexander (Bob) all of Penobsquis, Susan Anderson of Quirk Rd, Mary Ann Sproul of Jefferies Corner, Jane Cunningham (Eric) of Sussex Corner; two brothers: Bill Monahan and Raymond Monahan (Betty) all of Sussex; one sister: Peggy Brown (George) of Apohaqui; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her sons, John and Roger; her brothers, Leonard and Ambrose and her sisters Nellie and Irene and Kathleen. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 10:00 am. The interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery.
