BARTLETT, JOSEPH CHARLES - Joseph Charles Bartlett, beloved husband of the late Liz Bartlett (53 years), went to his reward in his 76th year on Sunday July 26, 2009. Joe was the son of Mary McCormick and Charles Bartlett. He is survived by his children, Joseph K. of Saint John, Catherine of Calgary, Robert (Colleen) of Saint John, Steve (Carol) of Barrie and Dave of Saint John, and his much loved grandchildren, Will, Grace and Thomas. He is also survived by his sister Betty Maillet, three half brothers and three half sisters. Joe worked as a Chartered Accountant for many years; he was a member of many service and volunteer groups including the Lancaster Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Royal Canadian Legion, The Canadian Red Cross and his Church - St. Bridget's and St. Peter's. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, tenting and canoeing, fishing and hunting. Special thanks to the supportive staff of Extra Mural and the Palliative Care Unit at the Regional Hospital. Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Tuesday July 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peter's Catholic Church on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Chapel Grove on Thursday July 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Bridget's Building Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
