BRYAN CHRISTOPHER MCDONALD

MCDONALD, BRYAN CHRISTOPHER - 28, Dartmouth. On Sunday, August 2nd, 2009, at 12:50 p.m. in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, our "Braveheart" Bryan lost his valiant 10 year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Bryan was born on September 23rd, 1980, in Saint John, N.B. He was educated at local schools. He graduated from Saint Mary's University in May 2006, despite battling through Lymphoma. Bryan leaves to mourn his fiancée and soul mate, Sara Hunter, Dartmouth. He will be missed by his two faithful K9 companions Marley and Maggie. Also leaving to mourn, his loving parents Gerry and Lilian McDonald, Kingston, N.B.; his sister, Martine Massey (Philip) of Quispamsis and their children, Gwen, Dana, Murray and Ian; his brother, Paul (Sherri) of Saint John and their children Stephanie, Danielle, Alyssa and Hannah; his brother, Sean (Michelle) of Seattle, Wash., and their son Liam; Sara's parents, Jamie and Christene Hunter; sister, Michelle and her children Jamie and Brooklyn, and many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins the world over. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn United Church, Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth, Rev. Roland Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Medical Day Unit 8-A, 8-B, the VG Site, QEII. Thank you to Dr. A. Kew, Dr. S. Couban, Dr. D. Anderson and to the nurses at Medical Day Unit and 8-A/8-B the VG Site, QEII. A special thank you to Marina and Donna for their exceptional support and care provided to Bryan and Sara. "Who's to say where the wind will take you, who's to say what it is will break you, I don't know which way the wind will blow. Who's to know when the time has come around, don't want to see you cry, I know that this is not goodbye" (U2).
