STEEVES, MARY - Mrs. Mary Steeves of Sussex passed away on August 15, 2009 at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Iona (Ferrari) Barker and was the wife of the late Frederick Steeves who passed away in 1996. Mary is survived by two daughters, Sandie Steeves (Mickey) of London, Ontario, Janice King (Ron) of Sussex; two sons, Fred Steeves (Linda) of Grand Bay, Andy Steeves (Angie) of Salisbury; her brother Ernest Barker (Delores) of Saint John; two sisters, Josie Pugh of Kingston Peninsula, Edna Cannon of Saint John; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her special nieces, Marilyn Hurley and Marie Todd and her surrogate daughter, Tania MacNeill; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by two brothers, Bernie and Peter Barker and her sister Doris McFarlane. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 1:00pm.
