PHILLIPS, DOREEN M. - The death of Doreen Mary Phillips of Saint John West occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 17, 2009. Born in Saint John on October 23, 1960, she was the daughter of John James Phillips and the late Mary Bernice (LeBlanc) Phillips. At the time of her death she was employed with Moosehead Breweries in the accounts payable department. She was a member of the City and District 8 Ball League. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her precious daughter Julie Marie Phillips-Warman at home; four brothers, Jim (Darlene) Phillips, David (Bonnie) Phillips, Glen (Diane) Phillips, and Robert (Jackie) Phillips; four sisters, Ann (Stuart) Nason, Pamela O'Leary, Jacqueline Phillips, and Darlene (Edward) Jennings; several nieces and nephews. Besides her mother, Mary Bernice, she was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Donald O'Leary. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Thursday at 12 noon.
