BROWN, DOUGLAS ERNEST - The death of Mr. Douglas Ernest Brown, of Saint John West, husband of Phyllis Gloria (Hamilton) Brown occurred on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Carleton - Kirk Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on March 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles Ernest and Isabella (Hole) Brown. Doug was retired, but was previously employed at Sears for 35 years. Besides his wife Phyllis, he is survived by his daughter Charlene Elaine (Rodney) Belyea, and his son Mark Douglas (Honey) Brown, all of Saint John; his brother Rowland (Connie) Brown, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) where visitation will take place on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Following the interment, a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
