STRACHAN, W.R. (BOB) - It is with great sadness the family of W.R. (Bob) Strachan of Truro, NS and formerly of Westfield, NB, announce his passing on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born 1929 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Bill and Annie (Nelson) Strachan. He is survived by his daughter Heather (Ron) Nevers, son Paul, daughter-in-law Rita (Clark), sister Ann Marie (David) Robertson and sister-in-law Bridget (David) Strachan; grandchildren Jolene Nevers, Tricia, Justin and Robert Strachan; great-grandchildren Makayla and Cody; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Frances (Cunningham), sister Mary (Dutch) Duchesneau and brother David Strachan. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). Dad wanted a quiet goodbye so there will be no visitation or funeral service.
