WILSON, CECIL E. - Cecil Elliotte Wilson devoted husband of Iris (Upshall) Wilson of Saint John passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009. Born 1920 in Kent County, NB to the late Percy and Margorie (MacEachern) Wilson. Cecil was a long shoreman and a carpenter with Marque Construction for many years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 1386. Devoted husband, father, grand- father, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden. Besides his wife Iris, Cecil is survived by his sons, Ronald Malcolm (Elizabeth) and Kevin Samuel (Rose) both of Saint John; daughter, Pamela Noreen McKay (Gary) of Wickham; grandchildren, Hilary, Amanda, Rebecca, Rachel, Jeremy and Adam; two precious great-grandchildren, Faith and Dylan; one brother, Chester (Jackie) of Quispamsis; six sisters, Irene Wilson of Rexton, Olive Spence (Vince) of Moncton, Hilda Dunn, Bessie Wilson both of Saint John and Nelda Benson of Grand Manan; extended family in British Columbia; many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents Cecil was predeceased by his brothers Tom and Ralph. At Cecil's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. Peters Church 1580 Rt. 705 Wickham, NB on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at 3:00 pm. Private family interment to take place at a later date in St. Peters Cemetery, Wickham. In lieu of flowers donations in Cecil's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, St. Peter's Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
