JARVIS, BRENDA CATHERINE - The death of Brenda Catherine Jarvis occurred peacefully with her family by her side, at her home on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Born 1946 in Saint John, she was the daughter of Theodore Jarvis and the late Lillian Catherine (Carr) Jarvis. Brenda was employed as a Resident Manager with Killam Properties, a Leader for the Christopher Leadership Course, and a member of the United Singles, Read Saint John and Literacy Canada. She will be sadly missed but always remembered. In addition to her father she is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Tammie Marshall (Tom Cushing) of Plano, Texas and son, Joseph Jarvis (Theresa) of Oromocto; cherished grandchildren, Aidan Lorne Cushing, Jordan, Emma and Fionna Jarvis; sisters, Deborah Marshall and Catherine Kelly both of Saint John; step-sister, Janice Noel (Francis) of Saint John; special niece, Belinda and nephews, Bradley, Sam and Ben, great nieces, Allyson, Alana and Alyssa; ex husband and good friend, Melvin Marshall; several aunts, uncles and many friends. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday September 22, 2009 and Wednesday September 23, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church on Thursday September 24, 2009 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Red Cross or to the charity of the donor's choice.
