CLIFFORD, SHELLEY ALICE - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, the passing of Shelley Clifford occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. She was born on November 9, 1966 at Saint John, NB to Basil and Anne Marie (Ferguson) Votour. Shelley worked for Revenue Canada as a Claims Officer for over 10 years, before her fight with Cancer. Shelly's life was her daughters and her career. Besides her parents, Shelley is survived by her two daughters, Cassondra and Emily Clifford both of Saint John, NB; their father, Kenneth Clifford; seven siblings, Steven Votour of Saint John, Michelle Lewis (Michael) of Quispamsis, Bradley Votour of Fredericton, Heather Lavin (Michael) of Saint John, Shawn Votour (Linda) of Moncton, Monique Hughes (James) of Quispamsis and Troy Votour (Donna) of Yarmouth, NS; parents in law, Helen and John Clifford; special friends, the Colquhoun Family and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Shelley was pre- deceased by her sister in law, Sabrina Votour. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:30 am. Private family interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
