ALLIE B. PRATT

PRATT, ALLIE B.- The death of Allie B. Pratt of Lower Greenwich occurred on Thursday October 1, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1925 in Carlisle, NB she was the daughter of the late Clifford L.S. Pratt and Viola O. (Underwood) Pratt. She was a Veteran of WWII serving with CWAC as a staff Car Driver; she had worked as an Operator/Supervisor for NBTel for 38 years, retiring in 1972. Allie was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 87 and Gems of Greenwich Hill and enjoyed country and western music. She is survived by her loving companion Rose Linton of 40 years, their special loved ones Stephen Gould, Cathy Anne Carpenter and Clayton Trecartin; sister Mignon DeLong of Canterbury; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many friends and fellow music lovers. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Harrison Pratt, Donald Pratt, Carl Pratt and Neil Pratt; and sister Phyllis McMillan. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John on Monday October 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 87, Central Greenwich. Musicians welcomed to bring their instruments. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Allie made to Multiple Sclerosis, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
