WILSON, BESSIE ELIZABETH - The death of Bessie Elizabeth (Garnett) Wilson of Garnett Settlement occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 3, 2009, after a courageous battle with diabetes. Born December 30, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Etta Garnett. Bessie was an employee of the Loch Lomond School for 24 years, retiring in 1999. She will sadly be missed by George Wilson her husband of 54 years; three sons, Wayne (Kathie), Kevin both of Saint John, Kenneth of Anagance; four daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Collrin (Robert Bosworth), Marietta (George) Beman both of Saint John, Donna Armstrong of Petitcodiac and Teresa (Edward) Vaughan of Havelock; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters; three brothers; son-in-law Dan Collrin; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Radar. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one daughter, Francis; daughter-in-law, Holly Gallant and son-in-law, Gary Armstrong; three brothers and three sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424). By Bessie's request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Lewis Mountain Cemetery, Route 880, Lewis Mountain, NB on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Following the service a reception will be held at the Havelock Memorial Hall, Havelock, NB. Donations in Bessie's memory can be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital "Dialysis Centre" P.O Box 2100 STN Main, Saint John, NB E2L 9Z9 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
