FENNELL, ALLAN F. - the death of Allan Frederick Fennell of 14 Montgomery Crescent, husband of the late Mary Christine (Carvell) Fennell, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Born in Saint John on March 23, 1926, he was the son of the late Louis John and Annie (O'Shaughnessey) Fennell. He worked for Dominion Stores and was involved in Friends of Saint Joseph's. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a long time parishioner of St. Pius X Church. He is survived by his three daughters, Lorrie (Dana) Ward, Jane (Steven) Pettifer, and Kathy Fennell, all of Saint John; three, sons Greg (Mary Patricia) Fennell of Moncton, John Fennell and Wilbur Fennell, both of Saint John; brothers-in law, Frank Green and Wilbur (Bud) Carvell; four grandchildren, Melissa Pettifer and Matthew (Jocelyn) Pettifer of Saint John, Heather Fennell of Halifax and Mark Fennell of Redcliff, Alberta; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his family, predeceased by brothers, Donald, Patrick, and Gerald and sister, Joan. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, from where the funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 10:30 to St. Pius X Church for Mass of Christian Burial at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
