
J. ROY CAMPBELL
CAMPBELL, J. ROY - The death of Captain J. Roy Campbell of Saint John, husband of Baden (Champion) Campbell for sixty nine years, occurred October 11, 2009 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Hampton, son of the late Howard and Dorothy (March) Campbell. Captain Campbell was a veteran of WWII serving five and a half years in England, North Africa, France, Holland and Germany. He was a member of Lancaster Branch 69, Royal Canadian Legion, North West Commercial Travellers Association, Life Member of Lions International and is a Melvin Jones Fellow. He is survived by his wife Baden; daughter, Betty Ann McAdam, Rothesay; two granddaughters, Sarah McAdam (Phil Hodgson), Sussex, Rachel McAdam, Fredericton (Joe Fullerton), Doaktown; one great grandson, Christopher McAdam, Sussex; niece, Carolyn Connolly, Oshawa, ON; and one nephew, James Corkan (Bev), AB. There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held at Hampton Rural Cemetery. Memorials to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
