ROBERT BODALY

BODALY, ROBERT - The death of Robert "Bob" William Bodaly devoted husband of Marjorie (Bright) Bodaly of Saint John, NB; occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Born 1940 in Saint John to the late William Bodaly and Ruth (Allen) Bodaly Melanson. Bob attended Glen Falls Elementary and Simonds High School. In earlier years he went to work at Hayward & Warwick China, later Baxter's Dairies; volunteered with Fundy Cable and from June 1964 - July 2005 was a Bus Driver and Tour Guide for the Saint John Transit. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1182; and a season ticket holder for the former Saint John Flames now Sea Dogs, both he and his brother Laurence attended most games. Besides his wife Marjorie of 44 years, Bob is survived by one son, Stephen (Darlene); granddaughter, Jennifer; grandson, Kody all of Saint John; one sister, Elizabeth Hatt (Wayne) of Guelph, ON; sister-in-law, Suzanne Bodaly of Saint John; nephews, Timothy "Tim" (Deborah "Debbie") their children, Adain and Clair Hatt of Hillsburg, ON and Christopher "Chris" Bodaly of Saint John; nieces, Barbara Cress (Joseph) of BC and Michel Bodaly of Saint John. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his step father, Leonard Melanson and his brother, Laurence who he truly missed. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd, (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, October 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 16 at 10:00 am. Private family interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
