DUPLISEA, MARY DOREEN - The death of Mrs. Mary Doreen (Reid) Duplisea, wife of the late William "Joe" Duplisea of Saint John West occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 12, 2009. Born in Fairville, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mabel (Flood) Reid. Mrs. Duplisea had a love for cooking, gardening, and crafts. She had been the legal secretary to Lyman Purnell for many years. She is survived by four children, Joy (Shaun) Biggs of Ont., Reid (Patricia) Duplisea, Saint John, Paula (Dennis) McLean, Grand Bay-Westfield, and Ford Duplisea (Gerald Martin) of Saint John; two sisters, Inez (Bill) McGovern and Kay Jennings, all of Saint John; six grandchildren, Sally, Cavan, Colleen, Jason, Justin, and Devin; several great-grand children, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Francis (Fran) Reid, and her loving husband of 52 years Joe. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 10 am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Following the funeral, a time of fellowship will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
