BUTLER, M. LAURETTA (PETERS) - The death of M. Lauretta (Peters) Butler, beloved wife of the late Edward A. Butler occurred on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Born in Tignish, PEI on August 07, 1927, daughter of the late Herbert and Alice (Perry) Peters. She lived on the West Side with her family for a number of years and later took up residence at Prince of Wales. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She is survived by her four sons, Tommy, of Scarborough, ON, Kenny, and wife Janice, of St. Albert, AB, Leo, and wife Janet, of Edmonton, AB and Kevin, and wife Barb, of Quispamsis; three daughters, Lila Jean, and husband Donald, of Black River, NB, Diane, of Toronto, ON and Tanya, and husband Scott, of Schombery, ON; 13 grandchildren, Stacie Kulz, Steven and Melissa Wong, Brent, Kelly and Kerry McGrath, Lyndsey, Adam and David Butler, Lisa and Michael Butler, Emily and Abigail Butler and three great grandchildren, Claire McGrath and Arden and Fletcher Kulz. She is also survived by one brother, Edgar and wife Mel, of Tignish, PEI; three sisters, Georgie, of Scarborough, ON, Viola and Vangie, of Saint John, NB; sister-in-law, Betty, and husband Reggie McLean; brother-in-law, Jimmy, and wife, Joanie Butler and sister-in-law Rachel and the late David Butler and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward and sister, Levina Steen. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634-1701) there will be no visitation by Lauretta's request. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
