CONWAY, AGNES VERONICA "VICKI" (DAMERY) - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Carleton-Kirk Lodge. Born on February 25, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles Damery and Johanna Rodgers. Vicki was a predominant community figure in service to youth as a dancing teacher from 1950 to 1982 for which the City and service organizations presented her with plaques and commendation certificates. She was also a member of the first class of Registered Nursing Assistants in Saint John, and practiced nursing in Saint John hospitals. For many years she was an active member of committees and the executive of Canadian Legion Women's Auxiliary Branch 69, West Saint John. She is survived by her children, Don (Joanne), of Fredericton, Peter (Nancy), of Saint John and Pat (Kathy), of Dundas, Ontario and Marion Brown, of Saint John; special daughter, Margaret (Henry) Gionet, of Saint John,; special sons, Charlie Damery, of Saint John and Bob Damery, of Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren, Sean and Gillian Conway, Peter Michael Conway, Andrea Conway, Jeremy and Jeffrey Brown, Aimee Gionet; great granddaughter, Allie Schotanus-Conway and nieces and nephews, Ann (Jack) Perry, John Bing Harris, John Tanner, Irene Tanner and Barry (Aileen) Conway. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Vicki; husband, John Conway; and her brother, Charlie Damery. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2009 and Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with a Ladies Auxiliary service at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 am from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
