JAMES (JIM) (BUCKEY) HAMPTON

HAMPTON, JAMES (JIM) (BUCKEY) - James (Jim) (Buckey) Hampton, loving husband of Joanne (Wilkins) Hampton occurred on Monday October 26, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 17, 1957 in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of William E. Hampton (Shirley) and Marlene (Dorcas) Clarke (Robert). Jim worked in the past as a laborer at Irving Pulp and Paper and the past three years out west. Besides his wife and parents, Jim is survived by 5 sons, Jason, Jordan and Jesse of Edmonton, AB., Joshua and Jonathan at home; 3 daughters Amy Goodwin (Ray) of North Carolina, Jillian (Josh Cobham) of Saint John and Jayme at home; one granddaughter Abigail, of Edmonton, AB., three brothers David (Leslie) of Grand Bay - Westfield, Terry (Norine) of Hampton and John of Saint John; one niece and one nephew; several uncles, aunts and cousins. Jim was baptized at St. Jude's Anglican Church. Recently enrolled in a pipe fitting course at Eastern Trade College. He will be missed by his childhood friend and hunting partner Paul London, as well as his pal Doug Wilson. Jim was a lover of nature, an avid hunter and fisherman and was noted for his quick wit and silly jokes. He is greatly loved by his family and will be missed by them and all his friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or the charity of one's choice.
