BACON, VALERIE MAY - The death of Valerie May Bacon of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Theodore "Arnold" Bacon, occurred on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 22, 1928 in Cardiff, Wales, she was the daughter of the late Thomas John and Cecilia Mary Mae (Broad) Burningham. Valerie had been employed at the Saint John General Hospital. Survived by her son, John Stirling (R. Dianne) Bacon of Selkirk, Manitoba; two grandchildren, Kristin Ann and Sean Jeffrey Bacon. Valerie was predeceased by her husband, Arnold in August, 2009. By request of the family there will be no funeral home visitation. Funeral Service will be held from Portland United Church, Newport Crescent, Saint John on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 am. A private family interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Portland United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
