CORNELL, RONALD GEORGE - Ronald George Cornell died November 6 at York Manor Nursing Home in Fredericton, NB Born in 1922, Ronald was the son of the late George and Lillian (Cordery) Cornell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Bidlake) Cornell, Fredericton; son Brian and his wife Dwaine, Fredericton; grandson Craig and his wife Jasmine, great granddaughter Neelah of Ottawa, ON and grandson Kirk of Fredericton, brother Ken and his wife Edna of Dartmouth, NS and sister Sylvia Ferguson of Stittsville, ON, brother-in-law Douglas Bidlake and wife Dorothy of Oakville, ON and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was a graduate of Fredericton High School, a veteran of WW11, and spent a rewarding career with the NB Provincial Government retiring as director of administration for the Department of Education. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Ronald was a member of Hiram Lodge, the Luxor Shrine, Branch 15 Legion and Holy Joe's Group of Christ Church Cathedral. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held from Christ Church Cathedral on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 at 2:00pm. The Very Rev'd Keith Joyce officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church hall following the committal service. No flowers by request.
