WOOD, ROMA LOISE - It is with great sadness that the family of Roma Wood (Dolly), formerly of Fredericton and Grand Bay, announces her passing at the Gagetown Special Care Home on November 5th, 2009 at the age of 93 years. The wife of the late Fayne Ellis Wood, she was born in Ludlow, NB on the 4th of June, 1916. She leaves to mourn her sons, Frederick (Gaynelle) Wood of Mactaquac and Edward (Linda) Wood of Lake Echo, NS; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Susan) Wood of New Market, ON and Carolyn (Steve) Hatcher of Dartmouth, NS; great grandchildren, Matthew Maclagan and Blaze and Slade Wood; brothers, Donald (Frances) Duncan of New Glasgow, NS and Joseph (Ann) Duncan of Carlisle, KY; In addition to her husband, Fayne, she was predeceased by her parents, J. Preston Duncan and Maggie Pond, her birth mother, Jessie Florence Pond, son, Keith Wood, brothers, James and Percy Duncan and sisters, Evelyn Furlong and Glenna Greene. Roma's family would like to specially thank the management and staff of the Gagetown Special Care Home for their professionalism, kindness and care. They were Roma's Angels. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th, 2009, at 1 pm at McAdam's Funeral Home. The memorial service will take place at 2 pm the same day from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will take place in Ocean View Cemetery, Saint John, on Tuesday, November 10th at 11 am.
