VANTASSEL, INA CAROLYN - The death of Ina Carolyn VanTassel, wife of the late Joseph VanTassel occurred on Thursday November 5, 2009 at her residence in L'Etang, NB. Born 1911 in L'Etang she was the daughter of the late John and Annabelle (McLeod) Patterson. She is survived by two sons J. Douglas (Shirley) of Wickham and Donald of St. Andrew's; four daughters Faye (Wayne) Patterson of Beaver Harbour, Lottie (Elmer) Cooke of Woodland, NB, Annabelle (Brian) Cook and Joan (Dwayne) Cooke both of L'Etang, NB; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one special niece and caregiver Hazel Miles. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son John, one grand-daughter Shannon, five brothers and one sister. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
