NICHOLSON, MICHAEL JOHN - Suddenly on November 10th, 2009 at Victoria Hospital in London, Michael John Nicholson passed away at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Sandra Elizabeth Nicholson. Loving son to Reginald Nicholson. Caring father to Sarah (nee Nicholson) Bird (Anthony) of England, and David Alexander Nicholson (Laurie Campbell). Predeceased by his mother Barbara Eileen Nicholson (nee Winsor). Michael was an apprentice Fitter and Turner in England. He received the Royal Dutch Shell Scholarship and attended Queen Mary University of London where he obtained an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and achieved the "Institute of Mechanical Engineers Award" for his final project. In his following years he worked in Africa, Europe, America and Canada. Michael was a well respected and liked man by all who knew and met him. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME (1576 London Line, Sarnia) on Friday November 13th, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday November 14th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
