STEEVES, JUNE ESTHER - The death of June Steeves of Nauwigewauk, wife of Gary Steeves occurred November 10, 2009 at the Toronto General Hospital. She was born December 7, 1945 in Saint John, daughter of Clara (Smith) Wanamaker and the late Harold Wanamaker. June was a Trouble Shooter for Co-op Atlantic and was also a manager for local Co-op stores. She then was area supervisor for Canada Fax before retiring due to illness. June enjoyed flowers, gardening and genealogy. She is survived by her husband, Gary Steeves; mother, Clara Wanamaker, Nauwigewauk; daughter, Virginia Steeves, Nauwigewauk; son Darren Steeves (Lori), Nauwigewauk; three granddaughters, Ashley Chamberlain (Corey), Katelyn and Emily Steeves; great granddaughter, Allison Chamberlain; three sisters, Beth Allaby, Nauwigewauk, Ruth Reed (John), Nauwigewauk, Lorraine Harris (Keith), Arthur, ON; one brother, Leroy Wanamaker (Norma), Limestone, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday. The funeral will be held Monday, 1:00pm at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel.
