DOW, DALTON HAROLD - Dalton Harold Dow passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 18, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born 1929 in Woodstock, NB he was the son of the late Harold and Emma (McFadgen) Dow. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Barbara Anita (Elward) Dow in 2007. Dalton worked as a Machinist for the Saint John Ship Building for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Marine Craft Workers Union. He is survived by his sons Rick Dow, Ronald Dow (Judy), James Dow (Karen), David Dow (Larisa) all of Saint John, Shawn Dow (Stacey) of Moncton and Andrew Dow of Saint John; daughters Sharlene Despres (Allan Myshrall) and Christine Curran (John) both of Saint John; brothers Robert Dow and Gerald Dow (Joyce) both of Fredericton; sister Lorna Bemrose of Miramichi; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday November 19, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
