ROBINSON, VALERIE LINDA - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on November 17, 2009, Mrs. Valerie Linda (Mercer) Robinson, wife of Mr. George R. Robinson of Canal NB. Born at Spaniards Bay NL on October 31, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Hettie M. (Noseworthy) Mercer. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband George, she is survived by two daughters; Jennifer Robinson of Dartmouth NS and Joanne (Dean) Nicholle of Canal NB, two grandchildren; Kaydence and Kieran, brothers; Melvin (Marjorie) Mercer and Lincoln (Millicent) Mercer both of Spaniards Bay NL, one sister, Frances (Gary) Caines of Cornerbrook NL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Valerie was a lady of simple pleasures, who briefly worked at GMG Nets until her illness. She loved knitting, needle point and being on her computer. She enjoyed going for drives in the fall especially to see the changing of the leaves. Valerie loved to spend her free time with her family and friends who will miss her dearly. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street St. Gorge NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Friday at 11 am with Rev. Mary Anne Langmaid officiating. Visiting will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniards Bay NL with interment at the Holy Redeemer Anglican Church Cemetery at a time to be announced.
