JENKINS, ROOP - The death of Fred W. "Roop" Jenkins of Saint John, NB occurred on Monday, November 16, 2009 at his residence. Born at Saint John on December 13, 1931 he was the son of the late William R. and Jessie A. (Boone) Jenkins. Prior to retirement he was employed with the Canadian National Railways, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been predeceased by his parents and his sister, Betty Cooper. He is survived by his cousins, Delores Wadleigh, Helen Burke, Marilyn Smith, Priscella Howard, Richard Moore, and numerous additional cousins. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
