KILPATRICK, FREDERICK H. - The death of Frederick "Fred" Henry Kilpatrick of Sussex Corner occurred on November 22, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Upham, NB, a son of the late Burpee and Etha (Beatty) Kilpatrick. Fred was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, step grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Hazel (Friars) Kilpatrick, sons; Brian (Karen) Kilpatrick of Crabbe Mountain and Paul (Roberta) Kilpatrick of Sussex Corner, grandchildren Jean Kilpatrick of Toronto and Ben Kilpatrick of Crabbe Mountain, step daughters; Pamela (Richard) Matheson of Canning, NS and Jane (Richard) Gizbert of London, England, step grandchildren; Kate and Michael Matheson and Thomas and Nicholas Gizbert, sisters; Freda (Melbourne) Crawford of Sussex Corner and Etha "Ginger" Duke of Sussex, brother Cecil (Kay) Kilpatrick of Sussex Corner and many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by an infant son Robert, his first wife Jean (Kelly) Kilpatrick, sisters; Nettie Kilpatrick, Dora Lawday, Murial Steele, Hilda Goodwin, Bertha Lane and Mary Wagner and brothers Clarence and Joe. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Sussex Corner. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner.
